Hirings and Staff Promotions |

There’s been some recent hirings and promotions at the Hamilton County Development Company: Mary Myers has been promoted to senior business coach and programming manager. She was previously assistant director of the Hamilton County Business Center at HCDC, and director of the Ohio Small Business Development Center there. In her new role, she will provide business and management coaching to tenants at the business center incubator and oversee programs such as Morning Mentoring. Mary is a member of the International Coach Federation, has been a certified business advisor, and is a member of the steering committee for the Cincinnati chapter of the SBA WNET program. She holds a bachelor of science degree from Northern Kentucky University and a master of education degree from Xavier University. She is a resident of Erlanger, Ky. Catherine Fitzgerald has been promoted to assistant manager in the Office of Economic Development. She was previously a senior economic development specialist, focusing on business retention and expansion, community economic development contracts in Anderson Township, Newtown, Fairfax, and Mariemont, as well as retail attraction. In her new role, she will oversee the tax incentive programs administered by HCDC. Catherine is certified as an Economic Development Finance Professional by the National Development Council; is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and the International Economic Development Council, and is a former vice chair of the Regional Business Retention Committee of the Cincinnati USA Partnership. She has more than 15 years experience in the public and non-profit sectors with an emphasis on economic development, including positions with the State of Illinois and the City of Cincinnati Department of Economic Development. Catherine holds a bachelor of arts degree and has completed the coursework towards a master of arts in economics from University of Illinois at Springfield. She is a resident of Green Township. Brenda L. Collins was hired was hired as a business coach and outreach coordinator in the Hamilton County Business Center. She will work with early-stage technology companies in a six-county region of Southwest Ohio. She’ll also work with the University of Cincinnati and EDGE to assist early-stage technology firms in the fields of information technology, bioscience, advanced manufacturing, advanced materials and alternative energies. Brenda has more than 30 years of experience in building brands, marketing and business development. She has helped several start-up firms succeed and has led distressed companies to profitability through brand revitalization, sales training and marketing communications. She has worked in marketing, sales and business development and helped improve customer service. Brenda is a lifelong resident of Cincinnati and graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a bachelor’s degree in education. |
