The Cincinnati Commercial Site Portfolio, now found at cincysites.com, has been expanded and improved with new information, including layers of demographic data and business information. The online database is a comprehensive inventory of Hamilton County sites available for development, including industrial, retail, office, warehouse and vacant land. It is is a key tool used by site selection consultants, economic development professionals, government officials and business leaders to find appropriate sites for business relocations and expansions.

CincySites goes much deeper than traditional site inventories, not only providing listings of available sites, but serving as a central source of data for those who want to invest in the community. The site’s layers of information not only include an inventory of buildings and land available in the community, but also characteristics of the market, including population and workforce demographics, spending data, and information on nearby businesses. The unique geographic characteristics and advantages of the sites are also delineated and the information is provided quickly using an interactive Internet GIS mapping technology.

More than 90 percent of initial site selection screening is now done using the Internet, making it especially critical to provide quality property and site selection information online.

Cincysites.com uses a geographic information system that makes this Internet service more powerful than standard economic development Web sites. The site allows visitors to rapidly tailor maps and reports to suit their needs and access data that would normally take weeks to collect and thousands of dollars to obtain from specialty data researchers.

The free Web site program is now available to the public at cincysites.com.

The new Web site is a project of HCDC’s Economic Development Office. The office also promotes economic development by assisting with tax incentives through enterprise zones and community reinvestment areas, site information, land development, community business district revitalization and business retention and expansion.
