Assisting Technology Oriented Entrepreneurs

Several characteristics define entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurs have passion. Every moment of an entrepreneurs life is consumed by their business.  They are fervent about their business models and are evangelical about their products and services.  Entrepreneurs have to be able to overcome obstacles facing them daily.

Entrepreneurs located in Hamilton, Warren, Butler, Clermont, Clinton or Brown counties are eligible to enter The Affiliate Program.  The program assists entrepreneurs who are in the early-stages of development to grow their business.  This is achieved by assigning a dedicated business coach who will work side by side with the entrepreneur from concept evaluation, up to and through Market Entry. 

There are five areas of focus for The Affiliate Program. They are: 

  • Information Technology
  • Bioscience
  • Advanced Manufacturing
  • Advanced Materials
  • Alternative Energies

Dedicated Business Coach

Working with a dedicated Business Coach helps the entrepreneur navigate the unchartered waters of entrepreneurship. There are numerous resources available to help the entrepreneur succeed. It is difficult to know all the resources available in and outside of your community. Having a business coach who is familiar with the lay of the land can save you time, money and add clarity. A business coach is an indispensable tool in aiding entrepreneurs prepare their companies for growth. This assistance can be nominal, or in depth, depending on the needs of the entrepreneur. These needs can range from assistance with business, strategic and marketing plans to helping put in place a solid infrastructure and management team.

Through The Affiliate Program additional re-sources are available at the Outreach Biz Lab (OBL). The OBL can offer entrepreneurs re-sources, such as, conference/meeting space, office space (up to 20 hours a month), clerical assistance, and most importantly access to other entrepreneurs. The availability of the OBL resources depends largely on the module selected by the entrepreneur.
