The Skatin’ Place and its expansion area.

The Skatin’ Place, located in Colerain Township, is expanding by adding a 16,170-sq ft  multi-use entertainment facility including laser tag, an elevated ropes course, climbing walls, and arcade games.

“The Skatin’ Place is a Colerain Township institution,” says Colerain Township Assistant Administrator Geoff Milz. ” Generations of kids have celebrated everything from birthdays to Fridays at the Skatin’ Place.  I am so excited to see the Liette family invest in their wonderful, locally-owned business in the heart of our Groesbeck neighborhood!”

The $3 million in approximate new investment leverages both HCDC’s SBA 504 Loan Program for financing and HCDC’s Economic Development Office’s real property tax abatement through the Community Reinvestment Area tax abatement program.

The Skatin’ Place’s expansion is one of a number of development projects slated for Colerain Township in 2017 totaling $55 million, including a new Kroger Marketplace. “When it comes to economic development prospects, it’s an exciting time to be in Colerain,” comments Mr. Milz.
