Horizon Certified Development Company’s mission is to help small businesses in Ohio, Northern Kentucky and Southwestern Indiana grow and create new job opportunities by assisting in the purchase of owner-occupied real estate and machinery and equipment. Horizon’s seven-member staff works with small business clients and private lenders to structure, underwrite, close and service SBA 504 loans in our target area. Financing through the Ohio Department of Development is also available to eligible businesses in Ohio.
Horizon Certified Development Company has a sixteen-member Project Review Committee that approves financing requests for submission to the U.S. Small Business Administration or the Ohio Department of Development. The Committee is made up of lenders, business people, government officials and representatives of community organizations. They typically meet twice a month to review applications.
