Industrial and Office Attraction & Retention![]() ![]() Industrial areas and office parks represent crucial economic engines of prosperity, job creation and tax revenues. Business recruitment and retention is a key but challenging activity in most communities. HCDC has assisted in the creation of business parks such as the Harrison Commerce Park and new industrial parks in Lockland. HCDC’s efforts have included representing the community with developers and State offi cials, accessing State grants, negotiating Tax Increment Financing and other tax incentives and overall coordination of development on behalf of the community. HCDC oversees financing through bonds and loans, conducts business retention and attraction meetings, and interacts with real estate and development professionals on a regular basis.
