25 Years of Achievements

HCDC Finances Business
HCDC has approved over 1,000 small business loans with HCDC’s percentage of investment totaling over $264 million since 1983. These loans enable small businesses to create new jobs and expand their business, thereby improving the local community. These loan programs include:
  • US Small Business Administration (SBA) 504
  • Ohio Regional 166 Loan Program
  • Community Reinvestment Fund (CRF) USA New Markets Tax Credit Loan Program.

HCDC Promotes Business and Community Growth
HCDC administers a number of economic development programs for Hamilton County, Ohio as well as other communities within the Hamilton County territory. These programs have resulted in investments of $2.6 billion and generation of over 30,000 jobs. The programs include:
  • Tax Incentives – Enterprise Zones and Community Reinvestment Areas
  • Business retention and expansion
  • Community revitalization efforts.

HCDC Mentors Business
Hamilton County Business Center (HCBC) is the oldest business incubation program in Hamilton County and the largest in the State of Ohio. More than 220 innovative and scalable businesses have participated in the multi-year incubation program and 110 have graduated into the community. The 50 companies currently in the incubation program have created 150 jobs during their tenancy and generated revenue of $23.6 million during the past year. HCBC provides entrepreneurs with:
  • Flexible, affordable space
  • Ready access to business support assistance and coaching
  • An environment conducive to entrepreneurial growth.
